How many collectors?

Just wondering what the official estimated number of coin and or bullion collectors in the USA is, any idea?

I'm not sure of the exact number, but I know that there are more than fifty.

What are these "coins" you speak, or don't speak, of?

If there are 20M collectors in the US that would mean 1 collector in about 15 people. I guess that could be correct if the term "coin collector" is used rather loosely.

150M is impossible, BTW

Probably more than that.

You know that guy is so modest.

Or am I thinking about the CSN Coin Show.

Anyway, you know the one with the guy that is so sincere that he can't even look into the camera's eye when he's spouting off all of these statistics?

I love how his face scrunches up and eyes roll when he's telling us just how great of a deal and how fortunate we are to be able to get in on it (before they rerun the episode that is).

I can't remember his name, but let's call him, oh....

...Satan!

Maranatha,

If any gov't agents are listening, I have several bullion cubes in my pantry. I love to make my own soups and broths.

I think that supposedly includes anyone who has ever kept a couple of state quarters. Maybe it also includes anyone who has ever had more than $1 in change in their pocket.

Exactly..........the numbers come from including every single person who was buying statehood quarters (like THEY will ever be rare enough to be worth much! *lol*)...........I do not consider those people "collectors".......at best they are "speculators" (or "idiots" :D). When everyone has a clad-quarter set, no one will be looking for them so no premiums.
